I have been waiting for this to happen in my neighborhood in Rosetta Canyon with all the off road motorbikes and atv's that zip through the neighborhood streets at all hours speeding and running stop signs.

This happens in my neighborhood as well. I guess since you are already violating the vehicle code by operating an illegal vehicle on the street, why follow any of the traffic laws? I would say that I feel bad, but...

Terese, the shame belongs to the person driving the quad on the street more than likely illegally, this was a fully preventable situation had this person been obeying the law. I see nowhere in the pictures any of the equipment that would make this a street legal vehicle. I also do not see a front license plate on the truck, I have been pulled over and sited for this infraction.

The other paper is reporting the other as lapparently stolen". Still feel bad for the rider? I feel bad for the victim of the theft.

I'm sorry but I agree with terese. Even though someone may have been in the wrong its still lives that are forever changed. Some people are just quick to jump to negative feedback on anything they can. Its quite repulsive and makes me sick. Why don't you think about it. Put yourself in their shoes. Or are you too selfish to think of another living breathing emotion filled human being?

And robert the work feeds off karmatic events no matter bad or good. You get what you give and you give what you get.

Thats correct Neila. I'd I were to steal, I would expect to be stolen from. If I were to drive recklessly, then I should expect to be critically injured. Somehow, your "karmic event" theory is flawed. What did the truck driver give to get what he got? Whether you have sympathy for me (and the consequences of my decisions) or not, doesn't have any relevance. Thanks for your effort though!

Who are you to judge upon people YOU DON`T EVEN KNOW .?
You haven`t the slightest idea of what took place except for the words printed by people that don`t consider seeing other`s perspective.
So before you label & criticize, why don`t you stop && realize there`s always 2 sides to every story.
Than, if you`re still feeling frisky by all means ;; Pass Your Judgement.

Ha does that make you feel like a man? Like you have some special importance to your being?
Because in the eyes of a true & just person (I speak for the great quantity); You are a coward for fearing stepping into another`s shoes even for a split second.
Good day sir. (:

There has not been one true comment about this accident, dose anyone even know I don't think so. The man on the bike has not been charged or arrested the quad was not stolen. The truck turned in front of the bike, the rider was wearing a safety vest to be seen. Sometimes it might be the only means of travel, there was a time Elsinore was known for dirt bikes Honda named one after Elsinore in the 60's. As for the loudness go back to Orange County leave us Dirt people alone anyway.

Okay it is against the LAW to ride a off road vehicle on a street, if it don't have a plate it is not legal! END OF STORY!!! Just because he has not been arrested yet that is because he is in the hospital and he will get his quad taken and a ticket!! It is a shame that there are people who got hurt but it is called a lesson learned and that is why they do not allow off road vehicles on the street no unless it has a plate and it didn't!!! COMMON SENSE IT'S AGAINST THE LAW!!!

Whether your riding a dirt bike that has no license or an enduro bike which is licensed their really isn't a whole lot of difference between the 2. Having it licensed isn't really making it much safer it's a lack of common sense that puts you at risk

An Enduro bike will have a HEADLIGHT making it easier to be seen. It will also have BRAKE lights and sometimes even turn signals. Those things make it safer. For those saying it's ok to ride an unlicensed, uninsured vehicle of any type down our public roads, you're letting your lack of common sense shine through. Wildomar isn't Wildotucky anymore. Where are we going to draw the line? Blow off whatever laws we don't like? I take to the roads in legal, licensed, insured, well maintained vehicles. I expect others to do the same. Not running around like a bunch of rednecks on a moonshine run.

The scofflaw rider was doing at least one thing that was illegal, which is riding a non street legal vehicle on a public road. That is a vehicle code violation. Safety vest? Big whoop! What about a helmet? Vehicles that are not street legal often don't have the proper equipment to ensure they are visible in all conditions. Believe it or not, there are reasons for the vehicle codes. "Sometimes it might be the only means of travel"? The laws only apply if you have another option? WOW! So if I only have a battle tank for transportation, I could drive it legally? ...you know it is all I have.
Elsinore is known for motorcycles due to a popular, and sanctioned (legal) event. The Elsinore Grand Prix. In the past, Elsinore was also known for rural blight and meth, should those who oppose those features of Elsinore "go back to Orange County" as well?

To Faith, you are right, these people don't know what happen and should keep their comments to themselves. I am a good friend of Ben (Eddie's brother) and his girlfriend, Walda. My thoughts and prays go out to everyone (and their families) involved. It is ridiculousness that people have nothing better to do than to pass judgement on something they know nothing about and/or were not involved in.

WE have quads driving all over our neighborhood as well, and they are usually speeding and loud, don't know if they are stolen. The old saying applies, If you are willing to do the crime (driving an off road vehicle on public roads) then I hope you don't run into a truck, your insurance policy probably doesn't cover this type of accident

@ A need A Drink, nice sentiments the only thing missing was all the facts to the story and your sincerity. Good try though. Lets see if I was judgmental and did not have all the facts I would suggest another glass of wine for you...
