Applications being taken for Lakeland Village Advisory Council

Five member Lakeland Village Council Forming, applications being taken

County Supervisor Kevin Jeffries, himself a Lakeland Village resident, is forming a five-person county advisory council.

Jeffries decided to form a county-affiliated advisory council representing the community. Jeffries recently received approval from his colleagues to form the five-member Lakeland Village council and his office has been accepting applications for the posts.

While such advisory councils proliferate throughout unincorporated sections of Riverside County, there remain a few enclaves, particularly in rural areas, that have remained unrepresented at the county level.

“My concern is it’s still an unincorporated community,” he said. “It needs to have a voice on the direction the community is going to go in. I didn’t want it to be just coming from the top down. I want the residents who live there to speak on behalf of their community.”

Once formed, the advisory council will conduct quarterly meetings open to the public, discuss issues and make recommendations to Jeffries. He in turn can seek support from his colleagues on the Board of Supervisors for policies and projects geared toward the community.

Rae Anne, the only one who thinks you are in any way part of some group that includes me is you. It's all in your head and no one else's. We get that all the purposely bad grammar and misspelled words in your comments are made to suggest we are stupid. __________________________________________________________ Cut out all the crap with the sister and brother stuff, and give all the other nonsense a rest.

Roberto and Martha thank you for your sincere comments, this is a wonderful opportunity for the people of Lakeland Village. I know a few folks who live in Lakeland Village and they will run with this and make a difference in the community. I will spread the word on the boycott and flag posts which are offensive to our peaceful little community called the Lake Elsinore Patch.

Mr. Rogers, I'm reposting a previous comment that was deleted by someone: __________________________________________________________ Mr. Rogers, thank you for the community service you are doing in bring the news of Kevin Jeffries’ wanting to hear from the Lakeland Village residents and encouraging good people to apply for the new Advisory Council. However, caution is needed here as there is a kind of quicksand all around this Patch comment section. There are numerous AKAs and people with multiple fake Patch log in names who seeks to deceive and disrupt communications by deleting some comments they dislike. __________________________________________________________ I'm sure you are smart enough to recognize the flagrant and deceptive nature of some of the silly comments posted here that fain support for you, Roberto and me, while actually trying to make us look foolish and injudicious with their overtly empathetic praise and eagerness to join in sustaining our point of view. __________________________________________________________ Also I know the Patch is plagued with all sorts of AKAs and get your drift about Twila and Rae Anne, and am sure other readers recognize their nonsense for what it is...
