Expect Explosions And Booms This Week

Below is Camp Pendleton's live fire training schedule this week:

Thunderous crashing boom noises are affecting Southwest Riverside County this week. The "kabooms" are a result of live fire training exercises on Camp Pendleton. Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sounds get very loud.

NOISE GENERATING EVENTS

Tuesday, Oct. 23

--Mortar Fire 6 a.m. to midnight: Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.

--Artillery Fire 6 a.m. to midnight: Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.

 

Wednesday, Oct. 24

--Mortar Fire 6 a.m. to midnight: Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.           

--Artillery Fire 6 a.m. to midnight: Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.

 

Thursday, Oct. 25

--Mortar Fire 7 a.m. to noon: Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.

--Artillery Fire 6 a.m. to midnight: Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.

           

Friday, Oct. 26

--Artillery Fire 6 a.m. to midnight: Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.


For noise inquiries, contact the base's Range Operations Division Office at 760-725-0357 during the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. After normal business hours (and weekends), contact the Command Duty Officer at 760-725-5061.

Um yeah I think your about 3 days late on this report, I had to deal with the abnoxious booms for the last 3 days, and a neighbor going into a psychotic episode due to his severe PTSD, WOW IS ALL I CAN SAY, Wouldn't ever want to see what we saw,
