Loud Booms, Thunder Coming From Live Fire At Camp Pendleton

The following is a noise advisory from the base.

Thunder and booms sounding off in Southwest Riverside County are coming from Camp Pendleton, as troops train with live fire this week.

The following is a noise advisory from the base. Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away:

Tuesday, May 14

-Mortar Fire = 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. with extended firing from midnight to 2:30 a.m.: Firing High Explosive munitions into the Whiskey/Zulu Impact areas.

Wednesday, May 15
