School District Board Member Retires After 24 Years

Jeanie Corral will retire next month after serving on the Governing Board since 1988.

After serving the Lake Elsinore Unified School District for more than 24 years, Jeanie Corral is about to retire, leaving behind her name and legacy.

“I’ve always considered public education such a gift,” Corral said. “I just thank God I was in a place where I could attempt to make a difference for the betterment of children's educational experience.”

Corral’s involvement with the school district dates to 1974, when she began playing for middle school and high school musicals.

She joined the Governing Board in 1988 as a school board member.

Corral said she plans to retire in mid-December and told Patch, “I’ve done it for so long, it’s hard to think about not going to all of the schools whenever I felt like it.”

A rededication of the Jeanie Corral Performing Arts Center at Temescal Canyon High School will be held at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

“It’s an honor for me to be remembered, especially with performing arts,” said Corral.

I agree with Lake Elsinore Resident...as a former employee of LEUSD I knew Ms Corral up close. She was a proven liar, did and said whatever she was told by the Supervisor and others, was disrespectful to teachers and workers and voted against anything that was better for them. In her last years she also voted against the safety and care for the over 4000 students that rode the school bus. Corral is a phoney and a sinner, no matter if she hides behind her bible or not.....GOOD RIDDANCE!!

Idiots that copy & paste the same things over & over....does not make them any more credible. Quite the opposite.

Thats so sad that you crave attention from a 'blog' LER. I guess 'any' attention is better than none? Maybe if you paid any attention in school, you would have learned the words masochistic, redundant, annoying, and go get a life! Were you overlooked in school cause you were a little negative, temper tantrum throwing brat? And now you have to take it out on everyone as an adult? No one is amused. You should go get some help in getting a positive outlook on life. Sitting at your computer all day spewing out your hatred on everybody, is not doing you or the other readers here any good. Perhaps you & Marfa could form your own little chat room? No one responds to your negativity here because it is cruel to enable it. You need some help & some positive influence in your life buddy. Sorry, sometimes the truth might sting a little before you're actually aware enough to do something about it. Good luck!
