Wildomar's personality will be reflected for years to come via a public art work created by local residents, and there's still time to contribute your piece of the large-scale project.

On Saturday Sept. 28, local residents turned out to paint tiles that will eventually form a wall in the Marna O’Brien Park snack bar.

The public art will serve as a permanent reminder of the contributions made by the community.

Residents on hand Saturday paid $20 to paint a tile, with all funds going toward the Oct. 26 Great Day of Service that will see volunteers refurbishing Wildomar's three city parks.

In the meantime, there is another fundraising opportunity at Marna O'Brien. Families and individuals who missed out on last Saturday's event can show up and paints tiles again on Oct. 19. Businesses are also welcome to include their company logos on tiles, said Wildomar City Councilwoman Bridgette Moore, who was on hand for last Saturday's event.
