Daughters of the American Revolution Lecture: "Tea: A Revolutionary Art."

As the Luiseno Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution begins their 46th year, they will meet on Tuesday, January 24th, at The Colony Grille in Murrieta. The special guest speaker will be Carol Post of The Spice Merchant in Temecula. She will be speaking on “Tea: A Revolutionary Art”.
DAR meetings are open to any woman interested in tracing her heritage to ancestors of the American Revolution. Luiseno Chapter Registrar, Marsha Timberlake, will provide guidance and assistance to anyone wishing to apply for membership.
The Daughters of the American Revolution was founded in 1890. Currently, there are approximately 165,000 members in the 3,000 chapters throughout the United States and 11 foreign countries. Any woman, 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution is eligible to become a member. A patriot is described as someone who may have fought in the war, given arms, funds, medical or other supplies, taken the Oath of Allegiance, or in any way contributed to the cause. Luiseno Chapter meetings are held the fourth Tuesday of the month from September through May. Meetings begin at 11:30 am. The Colony Grille is located within The Colony community,Murrieta, CA.
