Local Patch Contributor Featured In Juried Exhibit

Janice Carabine's work is on display alongside 16 other local artists through April 30 at the Murrieta Public Library.

Wildomar resident Janice Carabine is a photographer who went from snapping pics of whatever caught her eye to going on assignment as a professional.

She has shot for Patch Lake Elsinore-Wildomar, her work has been published in books and magazines, and she’s started her own photography business.

And now she’s getting attention at a juried photography exhibit in Murrieta.

"Burst of Color" marks the third project LAPP has coordinated with the Murrieta Public Library.

Carabine submitted five works for the show, but it was her piece titled "Bubbles" featuring her granddaughter Peyton at her 3rd birthday party that caught the judges' eyes.

"I like it because the size of the bubbles were so big and colorful and it reminds me to enjoy the simple things in life," Carabine said.

Congrats to Janice. Patch Lake Elsinore-Wildomar wishes her all the best!
