'Unity In Community' Draws Thousands To Downtown Lake Elsinore

The 15th annual event saw the community come together in historic downtown.

The skies finally held out for the annual Lake Elsinore Unity in Community parade.

After being forced to cancel twice last year due to rain, the 15th annual parade was a go on Saturday.

More than 1,000 people showed up for the event that was themed “Celebrating our American Life.”

The parade wound through historic downtown and featured schoolchildren from across the Lake Elsinore Unified School District, as well as city, school and public safety officials. Volunteers, along with local organizations and businesses, also turned out.
