Man Accused of Sexually Assaulting Girl Faces Judge

A former Wildomar resident faces seven felony counts in connection with the assault of a young girl in 2011.

A former Wildomar resident accused of having sex with an underage girl entered a plea of not guilty Tuesday during his arraignment at Riverside Superior Court.

Eduardo Q. Zepeda, 41, is facing three counts of unlawful intercourse with a minor, two counts of oral copulation with minor and two counts of sodomy with a minor, according Riverside County District Attorney officials.

A felony settlement conference was scheduled for 8:30 a.m. July 12 in Dept. 63 at the Hall of Justice in Riverside.

On August of 2011, a young girl reported to Riverside Police that Zepeda has assaulted her authorities said. The assaults reportedly took place in May and June of 2011, DA. officials said.

But before the District Attorney Fugitive Apprehension Unit could arrest him, officials said Zepeda fled the country.

The US Marshal’s Pacific Regional Fugitive Unit tracked Zepeda to Ensenada. Working with Mexican authorities, Zepeda was taken into custody about 5 p.m. on June 28 by the Baja California Fugitive Apprehension Unit.

Zepeda, an American Citizen, was taken to the San Ysidro Port of Entry and released to the custody of U.S. Marshals and Riverside County D.A. investigators. He was booked into the Southwest Detention Center in Murrieta where he was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
