Expo Offers College Resources For Military Parents
The panel of experts slated to be on hand include representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps Liaison Office, the U.S. Navy and Air Force, Family Forces, the Fleet and Family Program, Big Brothers and Big Sisters and the Veterans Administration.
Men and women in uniform and their loved ones were urged to participate in an event next week meant to showcase resources available to military families trying to send their children to college.
The Murrieta Valley Unified School District's Military Support Advisory Committee is sponsoring a "Military Education Expo" on Feb. 29, featuring a number of speakers who will offer insights on adjusting to cycles of deployment and how families can access financial aid through the Post 9/11 Transferability G.I. Bill.

The event is set for 6 p.m. at the Murrieta Mesa High School Performing Arts Center, 24801 Monroe St. All military families from the area are welcome, organizers said.
