Calling all professional women: Dressbarn at the is looking for your lightly used career wear!
The retailer is asking those who have interview suits or professional-looking ensembles just hanging in their closets to bring them to the store -- the items will be donated to local women who can't afford to purchase interview outfits.
"For the thousands of women who are without an interview suit or professional-looking ensemble, Dress for Success, the international non-profit organization that promotes economic independence for disadvantaged women, has teamed up with Dressbarn, the national retailer of women’s clothing, to collect and distribute professional attire for its 10th annual 'Send One Suit Weekend,'" according to a Dressbarn news release.
"To give underprivileged women across the country the ability to walk into a job interview with confidence, is the goal of this partnership – the path to self-sufficiency begins with the elementary tools to get their foot in the door," the release stated.
From March 1-4, gently-used suits, pants, shirts, skirts, shoes and other professional items can be donated at any of the 825 Dressbarn locations nationwide, including the Lake Elsinore Outlets store at 17600 Collier Avenue.
"These donations will be distributed amongst local non-profit organizations to be given to less fortunate women looking to re-enter the workforce," the news release stated.
More than 51,000 professional items of clothing were collected during last year’s ‘Send One Suit’ donation drive, according to the news release.
