Sheriff's Department In Hiring Mode

The Riverside County Sheriff's Department announced today that it is hiring.

"The emphasis is on non-sworn Correctional Deputies, as well as lateral and pre-service sworn deputies, to staff our five correctional facilities," according to a sheriff's department news release.

The department has correctional facilities in French Valley, Riverside, Indio, Banning, and Blythe.

According to the news release, the department's need for added personnel is due in some part to the increased number of inmates being housed in county jails.

"We are also seeking to hire Sheriff's 911 Communications Officers with a particular need to staff positions in the desert communities and the Colorado River Station in Blythe," the news release continued. "Additionally, the Sheriff's Department is looking to fill several classified positions, to include Food Service Supervisors, Office Assistants, Sheriff's Corrections Assistants, and various accounting positions."
