Urgent Weather Message: Wind Advisory Issued

"The winds will make driving difficult, especially for motorists with high profile vehicles."

The National Weather Service has issued an urgent message stating that a wind advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. Tuesday through 10 a.m. on Wednesday.

The NWS statement issued shortly after 1 p.m. Tuesday calls for gusty northeast winds across the Inland Empire and surrounding coastal mountain slopes.

According to the statement, wind speeds are forecast between 20 to 30 mph, with gusts to 45 mph.

“The winds will make driving difficult, especially for motorists with high profile vehicles,” the statement read.

Per the NWS, a wind advisory means that winds of 35 mph are expected.

Wednesday’s daytime high temperature for Lake Elsinore is forecast to reach 78 degrees under sunny skies.
