Bank of America's Technical Snafu Drags Out

The glitch coincides with an announcement by the company Thursday that it will charge some debit card customers with a $5 monthly fee beginning next year.

Friday and Saturday, many Bank of America customers are being greeted with this message when they try to access the big financial institution’s homepage: “Unavailable”

Seems B of A has been experiencing technical difficulties, although some of the company’s pages are still accessible including online banking.

The glitch coincides with an announcement by the company Thursday that it will charge some debit card customers with a $5 monthly fee beginning next year.

The company has stated the $5 fee will apply only to debit card purchases and not to ATM withdrawals, online bill pay or mobile phone transfers.

No word from the company on when it expects to resolve its technical issues.
