Lake Elsinore Sizzler Closes Its Doors

The restaurant has been a mainstay in the city since 1987.

The following is an announcement from BMW Management of Temecula:

After 25 years on Casino Drive, the Lake Elsinore Sizzler is going on hiatus. The restaurant, owned by BMW Management of Temecula, closed after dinner last evening, the result of its lease expiring.

“We have truly enjoyed being part of this wonderful community and we so regret that we are closing for a while,” said Sally Myers, BMW vice president of marketing.

According to Myers, BMW is currently looking for a site to build an all-new Sizzler in the Lake Elsinore area. Meanwhile, guests are invited to visit BMW’s neighboring Sizzlers in Murrieta, a 12-minute drive south on Interstate 15, or to the Sizzler off Interstate 215 in Perris. Guests who stop by the Lake Elsinore location will be given a special coupon for a free Grilled Shrimp Skewer or Half-Pound Steak entrée when another is purchased, along with two beverages.

The restaurant opened in 1987. “We are very proud to be part of this great community,” Myers said. “We have hosted countless special events, and the restaurant has been home to the prestigious Lake Elsinore Valley Chamber of Commerce Student of the Month Program for 17 years. We cannot wait to return with a new generation Sizzler.”

Myers added that the company has started looking at potential sites, but that a timetable for a new restaurant has yet to be established.

The restaurant employed approximately 30 associates. Myers is hoping many will transfer to the Murrieta or Perris locations. Gift cards will continue to be accepted at all Sizzlers.
