Proposed 166-Acre Subdivision In Canyon Hills Paves Way For Condos, Commercial Building

Under the proposal, 166 acres would be subdivided into 26 parcels for multi-family attached residential, streets, landscaping, a park, and commercial development.

Groundwork was laid Tuesday night by the Lake Elsinore Planning Commission for future development of 166 acres in Canyon Hills.

In a 4-0 vote Tuesday night, the commissioners adopted two resolutions that, if approved by City Council, will allow subdivision of two parcels -- 89 and 77 acres each -- to move forward.

The land, which is located within, and regulated by, the Canyon Hills Specific Plan, is situated off Railroad Canyon Road, just south of Canyon Hills Road, in the city of Lake Elsinore.
