Speaking of The Diamond, Storm Baseball season is coming up, so here is the list of promos and giveaways for 2012, courtesy of the Storm staff:

The regular season gets under way on Thursday, April 5 against the Stockton Ports. On Opening Night, the Storm will celebrate the 2011 Championship by raising the Championship flag and presenting the Championship Trophy to the fans. Also, the first 4,000 fans will receive a magnetic schedule.

During the weekend following the Opener, “Storm Pride” will be on display and all fans are encouraged to participate in a “Blackout” by wearing black to the games.

On Saturday, April 7, the Storm will continue “Storm Pride” by presenting the first 2,000 fans with a replica championship ring.

Other promos include an insulated-cup giveaway on June 2 and a team card set giveaway on July 21, both sponsored by Coca-Cola; a team calendar giveaway is set for September 1 courtesy of Robinson Printing.

On June 23, the organization plans to celebrate former Storm and most recent World Series MVP David Freese by presenting the first 2,000 fans with a replica Freese Storm jersey presented by U.S. Foods.

In addition, the Storm has a number of theme nights to get fans excited about coming to the stadium.

On April 28, wear your leather pants and head-banging hairdo for 80s Hair Metal Night.

Bring your Mom out on Mother’s Day, May 13, for a pre-game brunch and an MVP Mom contest.

The ever-popular Star Wars Night will be back again on May 19. 

Over Memorial Day weekend, wrestling legend Sergeant Slaughter will headline Red, White, & Blue festivities. On May 25, families can enjoy Friday Fireworks and camping on the field after the game. On Monday, May 28, the Storm will hold a 5K/10K race to support military families before the 2:05 p.m. game.

For guests of all ages, come to the stadium on June 24 to help Storm mascot Thunder celebrate his birthday!

The annual Independence Day celebration will be held on July 3 with the best fireworks display in town.

Also in July be a part of “Tebowing” and the annual Night of Fellowship held on July 13.

Come beat the heat on Super Splash Day Sunday, July 22, and rev your engine on July 26 when the Storm hosts Motocross Night.

Weekly promos include $2 Margarita’s on Margarita Monday; an All-You-Can-Eat menu on Fat Tuesday; free hot dogs on Wacky Weenie Wednesday; $1 beer/soda on Thirsty Thursday; Fireworks Friday sponsored by Fireworks America; Social Media Saturday presented by Coca-Cola, where fans can win prizes through Twitter or Facebook; and Sunday Funday where kids can run the bases after the game.
