Riverside County McDonald's Makes History

The restaurant that made the record books is located at 2242 University Avenue in Riverside.

A McDonald's in Riverside became the nation's first to offer a free fast charge to electric car drivers, the operators announced today.

Starting today at the restaurant at 2242 University Ave., customers can hook up to a Blink Direct Current Fast Charger or a standard Blink pedestal charging station.

"It's thrilling to be Riverside's source for the latest in fast charge technology," said co-owner  Candace Spiel, who with husband Tom runs nine Inland Empire restaurants.
