Delays Along Ortega Highway Expected Through June 15

Despite earlier statements from Caltrans that pledged SR 74 would be permanently open to travelers by mid May, ongoing repairs are still forcing closures.

For commuters who use the Ortega Highway, the roadblocks just keep coming.

The closures have been in effect since earlier this year when heavy winter storms caused erosion along the winding roadway.
