Storm Holds on in 9th Inning for the Victory

In front of a 6,580 sold-out crowd, the Lake Elsinore Storm were the 5-3 victors against the High Desert Mavericks at The Diamond, Wednesday night.

Starter Justin Hancock was credited with the win and is 2-0 for the Storm.

Storm team members donned their 2013 Patriotic Jerseys for the game.  According to Wilson Sporting Goods, it’s the first jersey of its kind, featuring the Declaration of Independence along with the American Flag. 

The jerseys will be raffled off with donations going to charity.

Most of the crowd remained for an exciting post-game fireworks display to celebrate the win and Independence Day one day early.
