“National HIV Testing Day, June 27, is an annual observance to promote HIV testing. The National Association of People with AIDS founded the day in 1995 and continues to be the lead for this observance,” according to Aids.gov, a website managed by the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services.

“With everything that we know about the effectiveness of early treatment of HIV, testing remains an essential and first step for everyone, whether you get tested by your doctor or at one of these test events,'' said Dr. Eric Frykman, Riverside County's health officer.
