UPDATE 11:15 p.m.: Measure D fails ... see full update .

UPDATE 9:15 p.m.: With 35.71 percent of the ballots counted, the vote on Measure D is close with 50.34 percent cast against and 49.66 percent voting in favor of the initiative.

In order to pass, Measure D needs 66.66 percent of voters to cast a yes vote.

Voters are considering Measure D, which proposes a $28 yearly parcel assessment to fund a new Community Facilities District and maintain the city’s parks.  

Voters can find their polling station by visiting the Riverside County Registrar of Voter's website at www.voteinfo.net.

Residents who haven't gotten their absentee ballots in the mail yet can drop them at the registrar's headquarters: 2724 Gateway Drive in Riverside. The office will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
