Hot Weather To Remain Through The Week

Lake Elsinore and Wildomar should expect daytime high temperatures to hover at the triple-digit mark through the end of the week.

The National Weather Service says a ridge of high pressure that has been building over Southern California will bring summer heat to the region through the end of the workweek.

“Expect hot weather through at least Friday, with inland temperatures ranging between 5 and 15 degrees above normal,” the National Weather Service warned. Lake Elsinore and Wildomar should expect daytime high temperatures to hover at the triple-digit mark through the end of the week.

Some subtropical moisture will also spread across the region through the end of the week, the National Weather Service reports, bringing a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms over the mountains on Friday.

“If you are planning outdoor activities during the heat of the day, take precautions to protect yourself from the heat. Wear loose fitting and light weight clothing. Drink plenty of water and take advantage of shade and air-conditioning whenever possible. Heat-related illness becomes much more likely during prolonged periods of excessive heat. The homeless, the elderly, and those who work outdoors are most at risk,” according to the National Weather Service.
