LEUSD Providing Free Meals To Area Kids Through July 22

Operated by the LEUSD's Food Services Department and funded by the USDA, the program provides nutrition and wellness outreach.

Now through July 22, kids ages 1-18 within the Lake Elsinore Unified School District boundaries are eligible to participate in a free breakfast and lunch program.

Operated by the LEUSD’s Food Services Department and funded by the USDA, the program provides nutrition and wellness outreach to the cities of Lake Elsinore, Canyon Lake and Wildomar, and surrounding unincorporated areas including Lakeland Village and Temescal Canyon.

Two school sites will host the program; meal services and dates vary slightly by location:

William Collier Elementary School—20150 Mayhall Drive, Wildomar, CA 92595, from June 13 through July 14

• Lunch only -- walk-ins welcome.

• Lunch service hours: Noon through 12:20 p.m., Monday through Thursday only.

• No food service on July 4.

Alternative Education Center—1405 Education Way, Lake Elsinore, CA 92530, from June 6 through July 22

• Breakfast and lunch, Monday through Thursday only. Walk-ins welcome.

• Breakfast hours: 9:55 a.m. - 10:15 a.m.

• Lunch hours: 12:25 p.m. - 12:45 p.m.

• No food service on July 4.

Check-in is required at the respective school offices. Food must be eaten on site. Parents who want to share a meal with their children may buy a lunch for $3.
