Live-Fire Advisory Issued

Camp Pendleton artillery units will be conducting 24-hour live-fire training into the Zulu and Whiskey impact areas as part of a regimental exercise from 6 a.m. today to midnight Tuesday.

Although thunderclouds are looming over the mountains to the east, the loud crash noises are coming from the west.

Camp Pendleton artillery units will be conducting 24-hour live-fire training into the Zulu and Whiskey impact areas as part of a regimental exercise from 6 a.m. today to midnight Tuesday.

Depending on atmospheric conditions, the sound of the explosions may be amplified and heard up to 50 miles away, according to base officials.
