Merger Of Water Districts Headed For Review

EVMWD and EWD have both passed resolutions in support of a merger.

Resolutions supporting a merger between and Elsinore Water District have been passed by their respective boards, and now the issue is headed to the Riverside County Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) for consideration.

According to EWD General Manager Tammy Ramirez, her district’s resolution passed 4-0 on Feb. 1, with one director absent.

EVMWD passed its resolution several weeks ago.
