Prescribed Burn Scheduled This Weekend On Camp Pendleton
Communities surrounding the base may see and smell smoke during the fire.
The Camp Pendleton Fire Department is scheduled to conduct another seasonal hazard reduction burn this weekend in the Case Springs area of the base.
Case Springs is an isolated area located near the Northeast boundary of the base. Communities surrounding Camp Pendleton may see and smell smoke during the fire that is expected to burn through Sunday.
According to Camp Pendleton officials, the purpose of the prescribed burn is to strengthen the recently renovated fire break that runs along this portion of the base.
