Rain Expected Through Saturday

The first storm arrived early Wednesday morning and forecasters predict rain will be light to moderate through the day, with some afternoon showers expected.

A brief interval of fair weather is forecast tonight, but the rain is expected to fall again by Thursday evening.

The second storm will bring heavier precipitation, most of it on Friday, according to the NWS.

In total, the two storms are forecast to bring about an inch of rainfall to inland valleys.

Snow is expected at lower elevations, but will be heavy – between 6 and 12 inches -- at levels above 5,000 feet, according to forecasters.
