Rain Still Possible Through Monday

The weekend storm that has pounded Northern California and soaked Southern California has mostly bypassed Lake Elsinore, with the National Weather Service reporting .01 of an inch falling as of Sunday morning.

Rain is still possible for Lake Elsinore through Monday, and sunny skies are expected to return by the middle of the week.

Sunday night: Rain likely, mainly before 10pm. Patchy fog. Otherwise, cloudy, with a low around 49. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.

Monday: A 30 percent chance of rain before 10am. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 68. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Monday night: Patchy fog after 10pm. Otherwise, increasing clouds, with a low around 50. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Tuesday: Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 76. Calm wind.
