Thunderous Booms To Continue Through March 4

Camp Pendleton artillery units are currently conducting regimental live-fire exercises, firing high-explosive munitions into the Zulu and Whiskey impact areas on base.

Expect those loud crashing sounds that are rocking Lake Elsinore, Wildomar and surrounding western foothill cities to continue through March 4.

Camp Pendleton artillery units are currently conducting regimental live-fire exercises, firing high-explosive munitions into the Zulu and Whiskey impact areas on base. 

The exercises began Monday and will continue through March 4, from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Units will also be conducting tank live fire exercises in the Zulu impact areas from 6 a.m. to midnight Wednesday and Thursday.

Fixed wing aircraft will be dropping high explosive munitions into the Zulu impact area from 6 a.m. to midnight Thursday.
