Winter Storm To Bring Some Heavy Rainfall

Isolated thunderstorms and snow in the mountains are on tap.

A cold Pacific storm will bring rain and snow to Riverside County Monday and Tuesday, forecasters said.

Precipitation will move slowly inland from the coast during the Monday morning commute and become heavy at times, according to the National Weather Service. There will also be periods of rain Monday afternoon and isolated thunderstorms, it said.

Rainfall totals will range from a quarter-inch for the Inland Empire to an inch and half in higher terrain, NWS forecasters said.
