Woman To Celebrate 80th Birthday By Skydiving Over Lake Elsinore

The community is invited to join the Sept. 8 party at Skydive Elsinore.

Barbara Morales and her husband, Frank, will celebrate her 80th birthday with a sky dive for the first time on Sept. 8 at Skydive Elsinore in Lake Elsinore.

Barbara says she was inspired to make the big jump by former President George H. W. Bush and the good people in need at Easter Seals. Their 53-year-old son and 50-year-old daughter plan to jump tandem, too.

“Our motto is to have fun, make money and make a difference,” says 82-year-old Frank. “We hope to set an example for all people that you can do what you might think you can’t.”

“And we want to help people at Easter Seals.  If we hear someone needs help we don’t ever walk away,” adds Barbara.

The event donation is $15 for a champagne toast, raffle, prizes and lots of fun at Skydive Elsinore located at 20701 Cereal Road in Lake Elsinore.  All proceeds go to Easter Seals Disability Services in Southern California. Those who can’t make it but want to donate can email daughter Denice Kennedy for info (dmkennedy6@gmail.com) and she will ensure money goes to Easter Seals.

“We’re really not nervous or scared,” says Barbara. “My husband even plans to dive in his tuxedo!” --Contributed content
