HERBERT HOOVER 31st PRESIDENT COULD HAVE BEEN AN ELSINORIAN

Herbert Hoover’s mother was Hulda Randall Minthorn, the aunt of Pennington Wesley Minthorn who married Anna Heald, sister of Franklin Herman Heald whose first wife was Ann Mariah Hoover daughter of John Yount Hoover and Mary J Hoover, a cousin to Herbert. When both of Herbert Hoovers parents died, his father in 1881 and his mother in 1884, he went to live one summer with Pennington W. Minthorn just prior to P.W. moving to Elsinore. As luck would have it Herbert Hoover went to live with another uncle in Oregon.
