Lake Elsinore remains a backwaters town in spite of the fact the population now exceeds 50,000 residents not including outlying areas. It would appear that by now that issues like the Ball Diamond that was supposed to be built for about 8 million dollars yet was padded to the tune of 35 million dollars would have been investigated and held those accountable for fleecing the taxpayers. Elsinore Valley Municipal Water District (EVMWD) Stake Holders shelled out in excess of 10 million dollars in order to see the power lines they planned to run through our community and the Lake Elsinore Advanced Pump Storage proposed boondoggle exposed for what it really was. We will make this up through higher tiered water rates for many years to come again, resolution. Vetting elected officials for ethics continues to go unchecked when you see that the incumbent Director on the EVMWD board with latent powers that have gone unregulated for years are still in office. On the Lake Elsinore City Council not much has changed when you consider that through even with the use the use of Qui-Tam lawsuits and citizen oversight questionable document property deals have gone unchecked which in my opinion is the sanctioning of white collar crime. Where are the reconvened Grand Juries that are looking out for the tax and rate payers? What are the reasons for removing a City Manager that cost thousands of tax dollars charge led by thee Tuscany Hills Clique? Better still, when will justice prevail in a city where even an appointed then defeated Council person of less than six months can vandalize campaign signs goes uninvestigated? The paper trail is there yet we continue to remain an uninformed bedroom community that doesn’t hold the perpetrators accountable
