Butterfield Trails is having their Fall trail clean-up event for the Fenceline Trail on the Santa Rosa Plateau - Come help out!

The following is a news release from
Butterfield Multi-Use Trails, Inc.

Butterfield Trails is hosting of a clean-up event for the Fenceline Trail up on the Santa Rosa Plateau on Saturday, October 27th in conjunction with the Riverside County Parks and Open-Space District’s Adopt-A-Trail program.

We are looking for teens and adults to volunteer to help with weeding, some cautious, ranger supervised pruning, filling in holes and smoothing out the trail surface to keep this heavily used trail safe and enjoyable for the
public.

Fenceline is a true multi-use trail utilized by hikers, horseback riders, and bikers with non-motorized equipment. Our local high school cross-country teams use it for training, and families and private groups are attracted to the trail for exercise and enjoying the beautiful natural environment.

Please come out and help us with the Fall maintenance day event. The County will supply tools and trash bag pick-ups, and Butterfield will provide water, snacks, gloves and supervision out on the trail.

STUDENTS CAN EARN COMMUNITY SERVICE CREDITS TOO!

All participants must sign the County’s Indemnification and Waiver form and provide current emergency contract information before working on the trail. Students or anyone under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian sign for them.

For questions or additional information you can call Linda Ridenour at 951 678-2300 or Martha Bridges at 951 678-7079.

Sign-ups start at 8:00 am, and teams will work from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon in the cool of the morning.  Orientation will be led by Ranger Bill Evans and Butterfield members.

We will meet on the Santa Rosa Plateau in the Fenceline Trailhead parking lot. Travel West on Clinton Keith passed the SRP Visitors’ Center, go about 1.5 to 2.0 miles further and turn into the large parking lot on your left. Our large Butterfield Trails Banners will be on the fence.

Come on out and enjoy the trail and the good company of other volunteers while giving us a hand with the weeds, holes and ruts that Mother Nature and heavy summer trail use has produced.

We’ve removed the ability to reply as we work to make improvements. Learn more here
