The haze appearing in the blue skies over Wildomar Saturday had nothing to do with weather -- it was more to do with the smoking meats and business being done at the Barbecue State Championship and People’s Choice Tastings.
In addition to the one day bbq cookoff, there was also a carnival for families to enjoy.
It was all held at 21330 Waite Street, a 27-acre lot that is currently for sale, is in its third year.

“We had about 6,500 people last year and we’re expecting about 8,000 this year,” said Henry Silvestre, president of the Wildomar Rotary Club.
