Condition of the Rescued Horses Oak Meadows Ranch Receives

Many are saying the economy is improving. That’s not what Oak Meadows Ranch is seeing. Oak Meadows Ranch receives approximately 3 to 5 calls per week because horse owners can no longer afford to feed and care for the horses they have. We are approaching the first of July. Oak Meadows Ranch is currently going through 12 bales of hay each day and supplemental food for many of the skinny horses or the horses that are unable to eat hay. Feed is approximately $250.00 per day. Anything you can do to help with July’s feed cost would be greatly appreciated.
