Craig Eugene Staneart entered eternal life on Friday, February 15, 2013. Craig was born in Portland, Oregon to parents Herman and Ruth Staneart. His family moved to Torrance, California when he was young and he was raised between Torrance and Huntington Beach. Craig graduated high school and joined the US Army. He served from 1968-1970 and transferred into the reserves following his active duty time. While enlisted, Craig met the love of his life and best friend through church, Ann Marie Duarte. It was love at first sight. They wrote each other every day during Craig’s active duty time. They married at the church where they met on July 2, 1970. Craig and Ann started their home in Laguna Hills, California and moved to Lake Elsinore in 1979. They were blessed with 4 children and 8 grandchildren. For the past 34 years they have called Lake Elsinore their home.

Craig was a very outgoing, genuine man with a strong love for the Lord. He had a passion for sharing God’s word and would pray for anyone in need. He had a playful personality and was a loving father and grandfather. He adored and treasured his wife Ann Marie. Craig worked as a general contractor for 35 years and had an innovative mind. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t accomplish. He kept in great physical shape throughout his life and prior to being diagnosed with dementia 6 years ago passed both his physical and written exams to become part of the Riverside sheriffs department. He enjoyed baking, hunting, and being outdoors. Most of all he loved his family and they loved him. He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

Craig is survived by his beloved wife of almost 43 years, Ann Marie; their 4 children Craig Isaac Staneart, Dara Carrescia and her husband Greg, Sarah Nesvold and her husband John, and Lisa Staneart. As well as 8 grandchildren; Craigie Mikel, Collin and Cayden Staneart, Jadon and Talya Carrescia, Ciara and Luke Nesvold and David Staneart.

Craig’s family will receive guests for a time of visitation from 12-4PM on Thursday, February 21, 2013 at the Evans Brown Sun City Mortuary Chapel, 27010 Encanto Drive, Sun City, CA 92585. Craig’s Celebration of Life Ceremony with military honors performed by the US Army will begin at 4PM at the same location with a reception to follow. Craig’s burial will be privately held at the Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.

I so wanted to read one day that he had been found safe and sound. He is with his Lord, fresh body and mind. But my heart breaks for his wife and family. I never met him but I know I would have liked him, his smile spoke volumes. Rest in Peace dear man.

the article misses that he is also survived by his three brothers (Gary, Keith and Bruce) and a sister (Kim), who will miss Craig dearly.

God's mercy and Grace is so amazing. To be so blessed to be a wife, son, daughter, Grandchild, brother or sister of this sweet man is to know you were loved as he was truly a man among men. For those of you who had the privalige to know Craig you are surely blessed. No one failed this man as he is with his Father in Heaven and because he was a true child of God who walked the walk and talked the talk what greater gift for him than to be home with his Father. He will be missed because he was so greatly loved but when it is all said and done in life what we take with us are our memories. Hold on to those sweet memories as they along with God's love is what will sustain you during your time of grief. "Weep not for I am with you always"
