Elderly Lake Elsinore Woman Dies After Getting Hit By Car

Maria Gutierrez, 85, of Lake Elsinore died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.

A woman who was struck by a sedan in Lake Elsinore has succumbed to her injuries, the coroner’s office is reporting.

Maria Gutierrez, 85, of Lake Elsinore died at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County coroner’s office.

Details of the incident were never released to the public by authorities, however the coroner’s office is reporting the injury occurred at the intersection of Baldwin Avenue and Brobrick Avenue in Lake Elsinore at approximately 7:20 a.m. on Jan. 2, 2014.

The coroner’s office reported Gutierrez was hospitalized for her injuries but subsequently died at her home.

Information was never release because this happened in Lakeland Village which is covered by CHP for vehicle incidents.

They probably took her to that hospital off the 15 where if you want to die,,,is where yo.u go. its ability to ever gain my my trust will forever be withheld. If they don't like your insurance your screwed

Condolences to the family and all, but I have to ask... what is an 85 year old doing in a position to be hit by a car in the first place? Good for her that she remained that mobile at such an advanced age, I guess.

Joseph that sweet lady walked every day with her cane. She was a tiny little thing, but got around on her own. I remember seeing her last a couple of weeks ago, going by my home, like she always did. People race around this neighborhood like idiots, forgetting there are tons of kids and other people walking around all the time.
