We all know Aesop's Fable called "Sour Grapes". Some rather fine grapes were on a high trellis and a fox wanted some... he tried his best to get them by jumping. He tried many times but failed. In the end, when he knew that the grapes were well out of his reach, the only way he could live with his failure was to bad mouth the very thing that his heart desired.
"Those grapes are obviously sour! Who would want such lousy grapes in the first place? Certainly not I," as he slowly walked away.
It's painfully obvious that those that hate on the very thing they so desperately wanted to a part of (or they actually were part of, then no longer needed, or were not voted back into office) are taking the pathetic role of the fox here.
If you think this applies to you... it obviously does.
