Community Corner

Want to Get Involved With A Community Shindigg?

Many people think they must be a good student, have a degree, be a therapist, have a professional license..... If we want to make a difference in our communities, we have to show a willingness.. What else? We have to have the heart that wants to reach out to others, wherever there is a need.
I started a ministry called Willing Hearts two weeks after I moved to Wildomar. I am nobody special. But I had a Willing Heart. And a faith that in the real scheme of things, there is something much bigger than me that gracefully carries me when I cannot do it alone. Or when the devil tells me, "just give up! this is never going to work!"

I understand that what most people, regardless of socio-economic status, are lacking, is love. The genuine need to be loved is what humans from an early age, need to thrive. When this  does not happen, all sorts of things can go wrong.

Which brings me to...... Homeless Ministry. The easiest thing we can do is to keep some warm socks, sweatshirts, however you may want to set it up... And when you are looking to spread the love, suddenly they appear! Even a Mc Double ministry for the homeless is amazing. Use a few bucks to buy a few 99 cent burgers, and write some inspiration on the package. Hand out to a hungry person. Tell them they are loved! Share with them something uplifting.

Anybody can complain about their community, the "riff raff",  etc. including myself at times, as I am far from perfect. But.... What are WE doing to make a difference in all the time we have used to type or voice our complaints? Community is a WE thing. We can do anything we set our minds to. And what it does for US is unexplainable. It's awesome. Love and be loved.
