What the Government Shutdown means to Me

Partial government shut down over Obamacare and retaliation By the Democrats!

While the House and Senate argue about what is right or wrong, American suffer. A shutdown is supposed to be closing of non- essential services.  What I have seen is not necessarily that. An unmanned   WWII monument is barricaded. A 1000 square mile off the Florida coast is banned from fishing. But yet they seem to think that Propaganda from David Simas at the White house is necessary for the operation of the Government To keep the lies going out to put pressure on the GOP. This is no different than when we dropped propaganda in to war zones. These people doing the non-essential jobs during the shutdown need to be charged with criminal and civil penalties as the law prescribes’. The commander and Chiefs Chef managed to stay the cut as well as the Presidents 2 golf courses.  I feel bad for the 800,000 that were furloughed  but if they built an economy based on GNP rather than government jobs there would not be near as many  direct hits and much less effect on the rest of us. If the shutdown is about non- essential Jobs, does that mean these government created jobs really are just that… non-essential and a waste of tax Money?  Just asking?

THE essence of our leaders is a perfect example of a business principle created and known as the “Peter Principal”. “The Peter Principle is a proposition that states that the members of an organization where promotion is based on achievement, success, and merit(in this case HOPE) will eventually be promoted beyond their level of ability. The principle is commonly phrased, "Employees tend to rise to their level of incompetence." In more formal parlance, the effect could be stated as: employees tend to be given increasing responsibility and authority until they cannot continue to work competently. It was formulated by Laurence J. Peter and Raymond Hull in their 1969 book The Peter Principle, a humorous[1] treatise, which also introduced the "salutary science of hierarchiology".”(Wikipedia)  In this case The employer are our elected officials. We all seen other example of this in AIG and the collapse of many banks. Bail out of the auto Industry, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, FHA

The GOP has long touted we should not raise the Debt ceiling. While the The Democrats believe that Job creation is better fixed by creating more government jobs and more government services and Taxing the people more to pay these employees and services.  In a better world the creation of jobs is better suited by the creation of jobs that contribute to the GNP And not the dependence of Government.. This would be more stable and create a more  stable economy.

If we look at our Government Debt currently around 17 trillion and the population of the US of 308 Million, that equates to about $55,194.81 per man woman and child. Really that is a scary number when we break it down and the government wants to keep on expanding it. I look at my families share ($165,584.42)  on a minimal income and I know I can’t pay it off and neither can most other Americans especially if we want to feed our children and have a roof over our head.

Obamacare should be the starting point of the people saying no to runaway leadership. It is in itself a phenomenal ideal. But a train wreck happening. One thing I do know about Obamacare is I have lost several clients before the implementation started because companies started cutting back hours to part time to avoid additional unaffordable cost. But worse yet these clients lost half their livelihood.  And now are in line for more government handouts.

How smart can our leaders be when they say “I don’t know what it says, let’s just pass it and deal with the issues later.” Thank you for your brilliance Nancy Pelosi!

Our country was founded on great principals and they were turned into the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Now they are trying to bash and trash it at every corner. Perfect example is the Second Amendment.  We have more regulations than any other country on guns and none of them work. So they continue to do more of the same and expect a different result. Isn’t that the definition of insanity? These people were elected to protect our Constitution and took an oath swearing they would. I want to know why they are voting on a International small arms treaty when they should be focusing on the budget?  But a few days ago 46 Senators tried and  voted to give the United Nations power over us In the Small arms treaty. How is that protecting the Constitution? If they are willing to give you rights away for this, where else would they sell you out on?

These are the 46 that don’t care about the oath they took or the Constitution:
Baldwin (D-WI),            Baucus (D-MT),          Bennett (D-CO),        Blumenthal (D-CT),         Boxer (D-CA)

Brown (D-OH),          Cantwell (D-WA),            Cardin (D-MD) ,        Carper (D-DE),           Casey (D-PA)

Coons (D-DE),           Cowan (D-MA),               Durbin (D-IL),           Feinstein (D-CA)          Franken (D-MN)

Gillibrand (D-NY)         Harkin (D-IA),              Hirono (D-HI),            Johnson (D-SD),             Kaine (D-VA)

King (I-ME),                 Klobuchar (D-MN)         Landrieu (D-LA),       Leahy (D-VT),                     Levin (D-MI)

McCaskill (D-MO)       Menendez (D-NJ),        Merkley (D-OR),       Mikulski (D-MD),           Murphy (D-CT)

Murray (D-WA),          Nelson (D-FL),               Reed (D-RI),              Reid (D-NV)               Rockefeller (D-WV)

Sanders (I-VT),            Schatz (D-HI),                Schumer (D-NY),       Shaheen (D-NH),         Stabenow (D-MI)

Udall (D-CO),               Udall (D-NM),               Warner (D-VA),         Warren (D-MA),        Whitehouse (D-RI)

Wyden (D-OR)

There are two sides to the issue of gun control. Maintaining the Constitution as it was meant protecting the people from enemy’s foreign and domestic, and the side that wants to take all the guns from everyone for a reason no matter how big or small, most of the laws are taking all the guns from the law abiding citizens and leaving them in the hands of the criminals to run cartblanch over the streets. People need to have the right to protect themselves. As a victim to violent crime I know better than most how when that time comes the police and the Military can’t protect you in that instant. The dilemma with gun control reminds me of when I worked for JCP  many years ago: Rule 1 the customer is always right. Rule 2 if by chance the customer is not right then refer to rule # 1.  It does not matter which side of the issue you sit, both are right and they play  propaganda and emotion where only logic and Constitutional law should apply.  I’m sorry if I got side tracked but they are not focusing on the issues at hand that matter the most to us …. getting the budget fixed the right way.

To me the government shutdown makes me feel at ease about criticizing them and the right to free speech. The NSA don’t have the time to focus on the Americans they ease drop on without due process. While they are stealing great grandma’s famous apple pie recipe . The IRS doesn’t have enough people to harass people for the political and religious beliefs. And hopefully, our elected have less time to dismantle the Constitution. I am saddened that it took Obamacare for the GOP to get balls to say something at all and start to stand.

I just hope enough people out there realize the BS the government is doing and say enough is enough. America is about equality for all. Not one race. Not for one political party or the other. It is also about being about to pull yourself out of a hole without the government  trying to make you more dependant on them.
