2 Lake Elsinore Men Suspected in Burglary of Murrieta School Bus Yard

Johnathan Maddox and Jackson Christian, both of Lake Elsinore, were taken into custody early Wednesday following a police search near the Murrieta Valley Unified School District main offices.

Two Lake Elsinore men accused in an early-morning break-in at the bus yard at Murrieta Valley Unified School District's main office were behind bars Wednesday.

Murrieta police were dispatched at about 2:29 a.m. Wednesday to the district offices at 41870 McAlby Court based on a report of two unknown subjects seen on the grounds, said Murrieta police Sgt. Don Weller, in a news release.

"Further information received was that the subjects were seen taking items from the district vehicles," Weller said.

The men allegedly ran from officers, who were in the process of setting up a perimeter, the sergeant said.

Officers began to scour the area with the help of Murrieta police Cpl. Jay Elliot and his K9, Kazan, according to Weller.

The K9 team located and detained the suspects, whom Weller said were hiding in nearby brush.

While the scene was being investigated, officers detained the suspects, identified as Johnathon Maddox, 24, of Lake Elsinore and Jackson Christian, 18, also of Lake Elsinore.

"The officers' investigation revealed the subjects had loaded up several tools and miscellaneous items belonging to MVUSD onto an electric cart and were about to leave the area when officers arrived on scene," Weller said.

Maddox and Christian were booked at Southwest Detention Center on suspicion of commercial burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Christian was additionally booked on suspicion of committing a crime while out on bail. He was being held on $15,000 bail.

Maddox was being held on $5,000 bail.

Both were due in court Friday.

An estimated $1,000 worth of equipment belonging to the district was recovered by officers, Weller said.

"It was also learned that this is the second time, in as many weeks, that the MVUSD Bus Lot had been a victim of theft from their vehicles during the night-time hours," Weller said.

Anyone with further information in the case was encouraged to phone the on-duty watch commander at 951-696-3615. Information may also be provided anonymously through “We Tip” at 1-800-78-Crime.

Just remember Jesus chose to sit with the tax collectors and criminals over the self righteous pharisees -

Sorry for the confusion. But Murrieta has been on the crimp page plenty too. It's is a more "respectable" kind of crime. Illegals shooting each other over a stash of dope; sophisticated meth cooking houses, that kind of thing. And a police department and red-light-cameras that shake down every other passerby for the money to pay for that new PD, library etc. They do a really good job of keeping the wraps on their crime stories too. Just a few: http://murrieta.patch.com/articles/jury-finds-murrieta-man-guilty-in-child-sexual-abuse-case http://murrieta.patch.com/articles/suspected-compton-gang-member-arrested-at-murrieta-home http://murrieta.patch.com/articles/former-murrieta-based-contractor-sentenced-for-fraud

WOW!! It took you a day and a half to find those stories to respond? All the while posting comments on other pages so it wasn't like you weren't around. Did you read the last sentence in my last comment to you? It pretty much says the same exact thing you took a day and a half to point out about Murrieta criminals. But, before trying to come up with examples of Murrieta criminals let's look at the examples you provided. 1st, "Murrieta man found guilty" I'll give you that one. 2nd, "Suspected COMPTON gang member arrested",,he wasn't from Murrieta. The title gave that one away. Also he was arrested by LA County Sheriff's Deputies with assistance and backup from Murrieta PD. Once he was in custody Murrieta PD packed up and left the scene. 3rd, "Contractor sentenced for fraud", Just reading the article and you will find that he was from Wildomar. He did business in Murrieta but was from Wildomar. Everyone knows that Wildomar in the beginning was just an extension of Lake Elsinore and even they didn't want to be associated with Lake Elsinore so they broke free 15 years ago but we all know they are still pretty much the same. So, take another day and a half to come up with more crimes committed by people from Murrieta. I'm sure you can do a better job this time around.

first off i would like to say that 2 of the people who posted on this blog are complete idiots. They are americans, well atleast jackson is, but i do not know about the other kid. how do i know this? jackson is my younger brother and i agree with you, he is a dumbass for doing that and i was a bit relieved that he got punished for it. and for the dumbass who said "This is what happens when stupid people breed!" you completely ignorant and know nothing about anything. Jackson's parents are my parents as well and i probably have accomplished more things in my life than you have. I am going to college to complete my master's degree in sports psychologist. I have ran multiple sports programs, president of the wrestling club at my school. I just think people are so uneducated when they talk about things they do not even know. My parents are great people. Every family has their struggles in life and to say things like that about parents you do not even know, just shows your maturity level.
