Accidents Snarl Traffic Through Lake Elsinore On I-15

Crashes at Diamond Drive/Railroad Canyon Road backed up traffic on the 15 Freeway.

Traffic was snarled on the 15 southbound through Lake Elsinore Wednesday afternoon as far as the eye could see due to a solo-vehicle crash just north of the Diamond Drive/Railroad Canyon Road exit.

The crash involving a gray Ford Explorer was reported at 1:35 p.m.

According to Cal Fire Captain John Crater, the Explorer driver was headed southbound on the freeway and veered off-road into the center divide and struck a guard rail. The driver, a male, was pulled from the wreckage by good Samaritans, the captain said.
