Alleged Convict Nabbed In Lake Elsinore

Anthony John Moreno, 37, was arrested in the 100 block of S. Spring Street shortly after 1 p.m.

An alleged convict was arrested in Lake Elsinore Sunday on suspicion of burglary and theft, according to jail records.

Anthony John Moreno, 37, was arrested in the 100 block of S. Spring Street shortly after 1 p.m., the records show.

He was booked into Southwest Detention Center and is scheduled to appear in court Wednesday, according to the records.

Moreno is being held in lieu of $65,000 bail.

What in the world is an "alleged convict"? Was he escasped from somewhere? Howabout calling him a suspected burgler or soon to be convicted thief...

Alleged? He either is or isn't a convict. A convict is someone who has been "convicted" of a previous crime. Just sayin'
