Two out-of-county residents, including an alleged
felon, were nabbed by deputies from the Lake Elsinore Police Department early
Michael Anthony Montano, 35, of La Puente, and Kristi Nicole Thibodeaux, 25, of Chino, were arrested around 4 a.m. Tuesday after they were spotted in a parked rental vehicle near Grape Street and Railroad Canyon Road.
According to a news release from the Lake Elsinore Police Department, deputies approached the pair and “noticed some narcotics paraphernalia in plain sight,” the news release states.
Montano, who was at the wheel, was on probation, according to the release, so the vehicle was searched.
“During a search of the vehicle, officers located numerous items related to identity theft that included a credit card embossing machine, a variety of fraudulent credit cards, and pawn slips,” the news release continued.
Montano was arrested on suspicion of committing a felony while on bail, forgery, possession of equipment to commit fraud and identity theft, according to the news release.
Jail records show he is being held in lieu of $95,000 bail and is due in court Sept. 12.
Kristi Thibodeaux was arrested on suspicion of possession of concentrated cannabis, being under the influence of a controlled substance and forgery.
She was booked but has since been released from custody and is due in court Oct. 29.
