Two Lake Elsinore residents were arrested Wednesday afternoon following an investigation into metal theft.
According to Sgt. Ray Nava of the Lake Elsinore Sheriff’s Station, Hekema Cook, 42, and Kicheko Williams, 41, were both taken into custody from the 900 block of Diane Way after a search warrant was served at an address there today.
“The search warrant was in regard to extensive follow-up investigation of reported ongoing metal theft at a local business,” Nava reported. “During service of the search warrant, officers located evidence linking both Cook and Williams to the metal theft.”
According to Nava, both suspects were arrested on suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and conspiracy. The suspects were later booked into the Southwest Detention Center, the sergeant said.
