Alleged Shooter Found In Menifee

Sheriff's investigators arrested a man in Menifee for his alleged connection with a shooting last month, a sergeant said today.

Detectives identified Deric Torrez Martinez, 31, of Riverside, as a suspect in the Sept. 14 shooting in Temecula that left a man with a gunshot wound. The victim has since recovered, Riverside County sheriff's Sgt. Kevin McDonald said.

An arrest warrant was issued for Torrez Martinez and he was found at an undisclosed location in Menifee. He was later arrested Friday for suspicion of attempted murder, McDonald said.
