Armed Robbers Invade Lake Elsinore Resident

The alleged incident took place at 2:23 a.m. Saturday at an apartment complex located in the 100 block of W. Heald Street.

Police are reporting a home invasion by armed suspects at a Lake Elsinore apartment complex early Saturday morning.

The alleged incident took place at 2:23 a.m. at the complex located in the 100 block of W. Heald Street.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the apartment dweller answered the door to someone who he thought he knew, according to a report from Sgt. David Cardoza of the Lake Elsinore Police Department.

“Then a male and female forced their way into the home with a firearm and assaulted the victim. The victim was tied up as the suspects took various items, including the victim's car keys and fled the residence,” Cardoza reported.

The victim was able to free himself and police were notified, according to the sergeant. The victim declined medical attention, he added.
